Updates
Changelog
What changed in each app build and on this website. The app loads the web version of Rerun, so changes to its screens and features show up without a new download.

Reviews and follows
September 27, 2026 · No new download needed
- Each of your reviews on a show's page now has an Edit button, so you can change or delete it. This includes episode reviews.
- Changing a show's star rating no longer erases the review you wrote for it.
- Your follower and following counts now update when you follow someone from the People tab, when you open your profile, and when you come back to the app.
- Someone you follow from the search in your Following list now shows up in the list right away.
-
Build 9
Version 1.0 · September 27, 2026 · Latest
- Rerun can now send alerts to your phone when a show you're watching or saved gets a new episode, when someone follows you, and when someone likes one of your reviews. You need this build for phone alerts.
- A new Notifications screen lists the same things inside the app, so you can see them on any version.
- You can now like other people's reviews.
- In Settings you can turn each kind of notification on or off, including occasional notes about big app updates.
- Discover now has "What your friends are watching", showing shows the people you follow are currently watching. It replaces "Popular on Rerun".
- The welcome screen types out the RERUN letters.
- Every account can now be found by searching its username.
- Tapping a show on someone's profile now opens it, instead of opening behind their profile.
- Removed a second "Find people" button that showed up above the following feed.

Opening the app
September 27, 2026 · No new download needed
- If you're signed in, the Rerun logo now stays until your home screen has loaded, so you no longer see empty placeholders when the app opens. If your connection is slow, the home screen still shows after a few seconds.
-
Build 7
Version 1.0 · September 27, 2026
- Opening the app shows the Rerun logo, then goes straight to the welcome screen or your home screen. The Loading screen in between is gone.
-
Build 6
Version 1.0 · September 27, 2026
- The animation when you open the app now plays all the way through instead of being cut short when the app loads quickly.
- The welcome screen now animates in after the opening animation, instead of while it's still covering the screen.
-
Offline changes
September 27, 2026 · No new download needed
- You can now log episodes, like shows, add to your watchlist, rate and review with no connection. Changes are kept on your phone and sent when you're back online.
- A note at the top shows how many changes are waiting, and confirms when they've synced.
- If the server refuses a change, it's dropped and the app tells you. Signing out sends waiting changes first.
-
Build 5
Version 1.0 · September 26, 2026
- Rerun works without a connection. Shows, posters and diary entries you've already opened stay available, and a note at the top tells you you're offline.
- Losing your connection no longer signs you out. If a change can't be saved while you're offline, it's undone and the app tells you.
- If the app can't reach Rerun when it opens, it shows an offline page with a Try again button instead of an error.
- Scrolling is smoother, and tapping the tab you're already on scrolls back to the top.
-
Build 4
Version 1.0 · September 26, 2026
- Show pages list reviews written by other Rerun users, plus how many people track the show and its average rating on Rerun. Reviews from private profiles only show to their followers.
- Discover has three new rows: Popular on Rerun, Top rated on Rerun, and For your next watch. The picks are based on shows you rated 4 stars or more and your favorite genres.
- You can edit your favorite genres from your profile.
- The welcome, sign-in and profile setup screens were cleaned up. Password managers work on the sign-in form, and you can show or hide your password.
- The first poster in each Discover row no longer sits flush against the edge.

- Added iPhone instructions and a note on why there is no iPhone app yet.
- Reworked the features section. It now lists six features, including ratings and reviews, your profile, themes and privacy.

-
Build 3
Version 1.0 · September 26, 2026
- The splash screen now uses the app's dark colors when your phone is in dark mode. Before, a cream screen flashed up ahead of the dark welcome screen.
-
Build 2
Version 1.0 · September 26, 2026
- The splash screen stays up until the first page has loaded, so you no longer see a blank screen after it.
- The tile logo on the splash screen is animated.
-
Build 1
Version 1.0 · September 26, 2026 · First release
- First version of the Rerun app, with the Rerun tile logo as the app icon and splash screen.
- Signing in with Google opens in a browser tab and returns you to the app when you finish.
To update, download the latest APK from the install section and open it. It installs over your current version and keeps your account.
